Using our best projections, passage of the referendum on November 6 will hold the district for five years--the longest time between referendums in the history of the district. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the next referendum wouldn't be until 2012.

The Levy—Question #1 on the November 6 Ballot
Designed to raise achievement across the district.
Lower Class Sizes, Advanced Programming, More Electives

Estimate: $5.1 million
Including funding to operate the new buildings and increase staff.

The Bond—Question #2 on the November 6 Ballot
Designed to last for five years—the longest time between consecutive referendums in the history of the district.

New Zimmerman High School
Estimated Cost: $51.4 million    Doors Open: 2010
The new high school will include full athletic fields, a three-station gym, community auditorium, and space to teach 1,000 students.

New Otsego K-8 School
Estimated Cost: $32.5 million    Doors Open: 2010
The complete K-8 school will be designed with maximum physical and scheduling separation between K-5 and 6-8 students.

3rd Wing, Auditorium at Rogers High School
Estimate: $23.8 million    Doors Open: 2009/2010
The original vision for this facility will be complete and the community will have an auditorium similar to the Zabee Theater in Elk River.

Renovations to Elk River High School
Estimate: $13.6 million    Doors Open: Fall 2009
Ten new classrooms, a new gym, and a relocation of the administrative offices will make the ERHS safer and more productive.

Enhancements to Early Childhood Education
Estimate: $2.5 million    Ready: 2010
World-class education starts when a student enters the world. And more learners are entering our district than ever before. Facilities and academic opportunities will be upgraded to meet demand.

Future Land, Financing Costs for Bond and Levy
Estimate: $9.1 million
